Trend Nova World provides technical oversight to MRDO & PPAF, building climate resilience and restoring social services in Pakistan.

The Challenge
Pakistan stands at the forefront of the global climate crisis. Frequent natural disasters, including devastating floods and extreme heatwaves, place immense pressure on national infrastructure. These events do more than cause physical damage; they often sever access to critical lifelines such as healthcare, education, and clean water. When these social services are interrupted, the path to recovery becomes significantly longer and more difficult for vulnerable populations.
Currently, many local decision-makers lack the precise data needed to predict and mitigate these risks. This information gap often forces a reliance on emergency relief rather than long-term strategic planning. To ensure stability, we must empower local administrations with the insight to protect their communities before a disaster strikes. Moving from a reactive approach to one centered on preparedness is essential for safeguarding development gains and ensuring continuity of care.
The Initiative
Trend Nova World serves as the Technical Consultant for the Restoring Social Services and Climate Resilience (RSS & CR) project. This initiative is implemented by the Marvi Rural Development Organization (MRDO) in partnership with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF).

Our mandate is to ensure that field operations meet high technical standards and deliver lasting results. We act as the strategic link connecting high-level climate policies with the practical realities of local communities. Our team provides the essential evidence base, specialized training, and operational oversight needed to drive the project forward. We focus on ensuring that resilience planning is not theoretical but is grounded in the actual needs of the people. By guiding the process directly at the Village and Union Council levels, we help ensure that investments lead to genuine stability and protection for the most vulnerable.
Our Technical Support
As the Technical Consultant, we provide support in the following key areas:
- MHVCA & Adaptation Planning: We conduct Multi-Hazard Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments (MHVCA) at the Village and Union Council (UC) levels to prepare a Prioritized Adaptation Portfolio.
- Capacity Building: We deliver trainings for communities and government officials to strengthen disaster preparedness and climate-resilient planning.
- Implementation Oversight: We provide ongoing technical support to ensure effective project implementation and the successful adaptation of interventions.
